Torres Del Paine National Park, Chile
On our first full day in the Patagonia region, we awoke early in the morning for a long day trip from El Calafate, Argentia to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. Despite the center of the park being located only about 60 miles from El Calafate, the drive between the two locations requires more than five hours, due to the lack of a direct highway route, and the border checkpoints. Once we reached the park, we spent the afternoon experiencing amazing scenery, wildlife, and a few short hikes. We finally returned to our hotel around midnight, 17 hours after we had departed that morning.
