The Incan ruins of Pisac, at the eastern end of Peru's Sacred Valley, are some of the best preserved in the country. We made a short stop to explore them the day we drove from Cusco to Ollantaytambo.
Looking down at some of the terraces and ruins. The dark dots at angles on the walls are floating stairs - large rocks embedded in the wall that allow for walking between the different terrace levels.
A retaining wall with water channels built into it. Many of the Incan constructions to control the flow of water are still functioning, and in use, today.
