Inside the courtyard at the basilica. Underground are catacombs with an estimated 25,000 bodies. We toured the catacombs, where many of the bones and skulls are arranged into geometric patterns.
The Peruvian Literature House, located in an old train station, is a large library in Lima's historic district.
The Plaza de Armas de Lima is the city's birthplace, and is surrounded by the Government Palace, Cathedral of Lima, Archbishop's Palace, Municipal Palace, and Palace of the Union.
