Western US Road Trip – Vegas & National Parks, 2009

Valley of Fire State Park.

This was the ultimate road trip through the western United States. Starting in Las Vegas, this two week journey took us through six states, four rental cars, and over 2,000 miles driven in a two week period, before we flew home from Kalispell, Montana. In between, we gambled and dined in Vegas, braved the heat of the Valley of Fire, cooled off on the Grand Canyon’s North Rim, saw the starting point of the Grand Canyon near Lee’s Ferry, hiked in a river in Zion National Park, marveled at the geothermic features and wildlife of Yellowstone, spent a day in Grand Teton and Jackson Hole, and wrapped it all up with a visit with friends and the stunning scenery of Kalispell and Glacier National Park.
