Marfa
Prada Marfa, a sculpture on US 90, is actually about a 30 minute drive west of Marfa, just outside the tiny town of Valentine. The sculpture was installed in 2005, and features actual Prada shoes and handbags from the brand's 2005 fall/winter collection. It has been vandalized and repaired several times, and threatened with removal for violating laws regarding advertising on public highways, but almost 15 years after it was constructed, Prada Marfa remains a landmark on this isolated stretch of highway.
This semi-stationary blimp is tethered to the ground, and used by the border patrol to watch for illegal crossing activity. The official name is the TARS - Tethered Aerostat Radar System. It's located on US 90 west of Marfa, and just one of the many oddities that contributes to Marfa being one of the strangest places on the planet.

Defendamos El Adobe - We Defend the Adobe
Political protest posters in Marfa. As Marfa has become popular with wealthy retirees and vacation home owners, the area's modern adobe homes have commanded a premium. As a result, the county tax assessor raised the appraisal values of adobe houses in 2017, leading to substantial increases in property taxes for homeowners - not just those who have wealth, but also mostly Hispanic, poorer residents on Marfa's south side where the houses are older, and much more modest. These posters are part of a protest movement to not assess higher values based on a home's building material.
