Phang Nga Bay
During our stay at The Naka Island, we booked a tour to Ao Phang Nga National Park, by traditional Thai longtail boat. As with most of our days in the Phang Nga/Phuket region, the weather was not as cooperative as it could have been. We had cloudy skies, with a constant threat of thunderstorms, as we cruised the bay and visited some of the islands in the national park. Our guides still managed to seek out some glimpses of sunshine, and found an uncrowded beach for us to enjoy the picnic lunch the hotel had packed for us. Phang Nga Bay is an incredibly beautiful place, even on a mostly cloudy day, and the experience of cruising across its emerald green water in a longtail boat was a highlight of our stay in southern Thailand.
