Driving up the road to access the Etosha Pan, you can see where the flat grassy area that covers much of the park transitions to the Pan.
The stark, plantless landscape of the Etosha Pan. This giant salt flat often looks like a lake from a distance, but most of the year it's dry. Very little of it had water while we were there, and the part that did was very shallow.
