Chapman's Peak Drive
The road along the coast to Chapman's Peak - a gorgeous drive that follows the Atlantic Ocean side of the Cape of Good Hope.
Our VW Polo Vivo, the first rental car of the trip. This little thing felt like the little engine that could trying to get over some of the hills and mountains near Cape Town.
View across Cosy Bay back toward Cape Town.
The tight turn in the road at Chapman's Peak.
Looking down the highway, as it hugs the cliffs. At some points the road is cut into the side of the cliff, with part of the mountain suspended above the roadway.
The thin line in the cliffs is the highway, which is very narrow, with no shoulders. One side is a mountain, the other, a sharp drop straight to the Atlantic.
